I called today to schedule a diagnostic look at my AC unit after checking Yelp and ChatGPT for recommendations. I was extremely impressed with Sal, the owner, and his staff’s quick response. He came out on the same day and was quickly able to resolve the issue, as his van is well stocked with supplies and parts. He was very friendly, yet professional, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Cost Less for HVAC issues.

Called early Saturday morning about our heater that wasn't working properly, and someone was out by 10 a.m. They assessed what might be wrong, gave my husband a full walk-through of the system so he could troubleshoot (and fix himself, if he so desired) if the problem happened again, made a couple tweaks, and voilà! Problem solved, and heater has been working like a charm ever since. The fee was very reasonable, and at no point did we feel pressure for a big expensive repair; just an honest assessment and a solution. Excellent service.

I discovered Sal through Yelp reviews. He was very knowledgeable and accommodating. On the day of installation, he kept me updated multiple times with his team's ETA. When his team arrived, they were very professional, respecting our home by laying out tarps and wearing shoe covers. The job involved replacing the wall furnace and installing a new thermostat, which his team completed in an hour. They cleaned up immediately after finishing, leaving no trace of their work. They also walked us through basic instructions and offered helpful suggestions. We are extremely satisfied to have the heat restored and appreciate the excellent service from Sal and his team.

They Went Beyond Our Expectations Nov 9, 2025

We hadn’t had our HVAC ducts cleaned since it was installed in 2021. Also, the dryer vent was due too. For some wonderful reason, we're lucky because we called Cost Less. We spoke with Sal, the owner, and immediately had a good feeling... family owned, honest, accommodating, and very professional. Boy, were we right. Sal and his son are true blue... the kind of people you want to entrust your home to. This is really coming from the heart because they went beyond our expectations, and we have found a company who we will call back for any HVAC needs. That is a comfortable position to be in! They did not leave until they felt comfortable too!

Sal helped us install the Nest thermostat. Super efficient and knowledgeable!—2019 Now it's 2025, time to clean our HVAC system. It's been 6 years and we called CostLess again. Sal Junior was our guy and he did a great job. He set up equipment cleanly and orderly. He is super knowledgeable and explained to us the mechanism, the process, and what the maintenance includes. We were impressed. Sal Junior went above and beyond to check our exhaust fan and identified issues that's not even part of the HVAC. We're super happy that we asked CostLess to do the job. Quick to respond, available for a free estimate the next day. Both Sals (senior and junior) arrived on time (early actually), solved the problem with our AC quickly and effectively without pushing to replace the whole thing (as others have done), and added a couple of years (fingers crossed) to our aging system. Sal was very clear about our options and cost, and is easy to work with. Pretty sure I did not get the lowest cost to get the job done (never got details on the amount of refrigerant that was actually added/needed), but getting the system fixed quickly on a hot Sunday was totally worth it.

Super impressed! The owner, Sal, replied right away on a late Friday night when our AC stopped working and came out early on a Saturday morning. He figured out the problem in minutes and had my AC cooling again in about 20 minutes by swapping out the capacitor, recharged the 20-year-old R-22 tank at a reasonable price, and suggested adding a hard start kit to save electricity and help the compressor last longer. Quick, friendly, and really knows his stuff. Highly recommend!
